The Mission Statement of The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. It's message is based on The Bible. It's ministry is motivated by the love of God. It's mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
To Invest in Children
Our summer camps are designed around the idea of inclusion. No one is turned away because of their circumstances. Under-served, from broken homes, in the foster care system, living in poverty, these are many of the at-risk children that come to our camp. Our camps are scholarship-based to financially support families in need. The costs involves are significant and purposeful investment in youth.
To cultivate servant leadership
We put young men and women in the right environment to grow as leaders. We provide hands on learning where young people are given the opportunity to design, implement, and supervise people and programs on a daily basis. This is all done in an intense community model that teaches authority through service.
To Teach Teamwork
We offer experiential learning situations that teach valuable lessons on what it means to be a part of a team.
To be the Church
The Salvation Army is mission driven to meet human needs in the name of Jesus Christ without discrimination. Our message is based on the bible an our ministry is motivated by the love of Jesus Christ for all humanity.
